Technical Project Manager - Digital Marketing

Job Summary

COLAB is looking for a Technical Project Manager with proven experience managing technical projects within a digital marketing agency environment. The ideal candidate must have a strong technical understanding and be capable of managing developers and technical teams while also coordinating with SEO, PPC, content, design, and account management teams.

This role requires someone who can understand technical requirements, identify project risks, manage dependencies, and translate business/client requirements into clear technical tasks — not simply track deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage multiple technical and digital marketing projects from planning through completion.
• Work closely with developers and technical teams to plan and execute projects.
• Understand technical requirements, workflows, dependencies, and potential implementation challenges.
• Translate client/business requirements into clear and actionable technical tasks.
• Create project plans, timelines, milestones, dependencies, and deliverables.
• Assign and manage tasks across developers and other technical resources.
• Monitor project progress, identify blockers, and proactively resolve issues.
• Conduct technical project meetings and ensure clear action items and follow-ups.
• Coordinate between developers, SEO, PPC, content, design, and account management teams.
• Review technical deliverables to ensure requirements and specifications are met.
• Manage scope changes, priorities, risks, and technical dependencies.
• Communicate technical project updates clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and updates in Asana or other project management tools.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and according to quality standards.

• Technical troubleshooting and issue management

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as a Technical Project Manager.
• Digital marketing agency experience is required.
• Proven experience managing developers and technical projects.
• Strong understanding of web development and digital marketing technologies.
• Experience managing multiple client projects simultaneously.
• Strong understanding of project dependencies, risks, scope, and technical requirements.
• Excellent English communication and client-facing skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Experience with Asana, Jira, ClickUp, or similar project management platforms.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred

• Experience working with US-based clients.
• Agile/Scrum experience.
• Experience managing website development, integrations, API, or marketing technology projects.
• Experience working with remote/distributed technical teams.
